X-Guard man-down system

In the event of an emergency, it is vital that you receive help. X-Guard offers an innovative man-down system for this. Movement is monitored using the Risk button in the X-Guard Alarm app: only in places and times when security is required. If insufficient movement is detected for the set time, the phone will automatically send an alarm. In addition, the app automatically sends an alarm when the mobile phone breaks down or no longer has a connection.

Only where necessary

X-Guard only sends an automatic man-down alarm call where necessary.
We can ensure that your man-down protection (the Risk button) is automatically activated at locations and times where and when you are not allowed to work alone: all you have to do is carry the Alarm app with you - we will do the rest. False alarms are also prevented by this method of automatic man-down. We think it is important that our solution offers comfort as well as safety.

Automatic switching

You can also determine and activate yourself where you need (extra) security. You can do this using the "Automatic switching" function in the Alarm app. By adding certain addresses to the app, you can indicate per address whether your “Own security” in the app should be ''Off'', ''On'' or 'Risk''. The moment you approach and leave the added address, the app will automatically switch to the correct mode.

How does the Risk button work?

When your own security is set to “Risk”, the app activates the motion sensor of the mobile phone. This acts as a kind of pedometer. If there has been insufficient movement for two minutes, the app automatically creates a pre-alarm for 30 seconds. A message will appear on the screen and the device will vibrate and beep. The pre-alarm is canceled by moving the device briefly. If the pre-alarm is not canceled in time, an alarm call is automatically sent.

The countdown time to the pre-alarm is standard two minutes. The countdown time can be adjusted if desired.

Pause mode

The Risk button has a pause mode. It is wise to activate this pause mode when the phone is put down somewhere, for example during breaks or a visit to the toilet. This prevents false alarms. In pause mode, the app will not send an emergency call. The Risk button is automatically activated when the pause time has expired. The Risk button also has an automatic pause mode. When the phone is on a flat surface is placed, the risk mode automatically switches to a pause mode of one hour. Risk mode is reactivated when motion is detected or when the pause time has expired.

The pause time is set to one hour by default and can be adjusted in the settings menu.

Press ''Off'' or “On” twice if the Risk button should be disabled.

Technical information

The Risk button can switch automatically based on an address and/or X-Guard Beacon. This means that when approaching the address or entering a room where an X-Guard Beacon is located, “Own security” is set to “Risk”. When leaving the address or zone, “Own security” is set to “On” or “Off”. Read more about Automatic switching via the button below:
