''Unexpectedly, I actually had to use X-Guard for safety!

I have been using X-Guard for years and have traveled all over the world with it. I was often in situations where I wanted to carry a bit of safety with me. However, last week – in my own hometown of all places – my X-Guard Alarm Button finally came in really handy!

I was walking home around midnight on a Wednesday evening, together with two friends. They walked on the sidewalk and I walked along the cycle path, holding my bicycle. Our roads were congested for a moment and at that moment a car sped past and then braked hard and was put into reverse. The car stopped next to me and I immediately got a bad feeling...

''Do you still have far to go? I'd like to take you home…” – of course I declined his offer…
Once again he asked if I didn't want to get in...

I panicked because of his nasty vibe, but luckily he eventually drove away. The man had not seen my friends, but all three of us were shocked by the situation. Bah!

We then parted ways and I had to walk a bit alone to get home. I found this unpleasant, so I grabbed my X-Guard Alarm Button just to be on the safe side. Because I was tense, I accidentally pressed the button. I quickly got on the phone with an emergency center operator who took stock of the situation. I explained my story and apologized for accidentally pressing the button. The operator was very nice and helpful, told me that no excuses were needed and she stayed on the phone with me until I was safely home with the door closed behind me.

I was happy and relieved that because of X-Guard I literally didn't have to cross the street alone after that nasty encounter – I immediately felt safe!”
