Mandatory occupational health and safety policy with RI&E as a basis
As an employer, you know how valuable employees are to the success of your company. But, did you also know that you are legally obliged to have an occupational health and safety policy and that a risk inventory and evaluation (RI&E) is the basis for this? The RI&E is one for employers obligated means to promote health and safety in the company. The RI&E must also include an action plan that describes what measures you will take to address the identified risks.
Such an inventory may reveal that there are employees who: to work alone and are therefore at risk. The Working Conditions Act in the Netherlands has also decided that a company must be prepared for an emergency such as fire, first aid and evacuation of a building. Every employer is therefore legally obliged to: company emergency responders (to have emergency response personnel).
