The X-Guard Alarm app

With the X-Guard Alarm app, anyone can easily send an alarm anywhere and immediately connect to the right emergency services. This help can come from people in your immediate area or, after verification by our emergency center, from the police and/or our national network of mobile surveillance companies.

Alert via the app

The X-Guard Alarm app offers several options for sending emergency calls:

  • Panic button: Use this button in an emergency. A listening connection is set up with our emergency center. Our operator will assess the situation and determine what assistance is most appropriate, such as deploying the police or a mobile surveillance officer.
  • Assistance button: The Assistance button is intended for situations where there is no immediate panic, but where the situation feels unreliable. When you use this button, a speaking-listening connection is established, allowing you to consult directly with our operator. The operator is ready to discuss with you the best steps to take. Additionally, the operator can remain on the line until the situation is deemed safe. In the event of an emergency, the operator can also call for help from people in your immediate vicinity or from an invigilator. Consider, for example, lifting assistance if a patient has fallen out of bed.
  • Test alarm: To test the app functionality, you can send a test alarm. You will then receive a confirmation by email to confirm that the app is working properly. To test whether the app is functioning properly, a test alarm can be created.
  • RISK button (man-down alarm): Use this button to change your security status to 'Risk' in the event of a potentially dangerous situation.

The X-Guard Alarm app can be installed 24/7. Anyone can install the app and then easily register: immediate security follows after registration.

Alarm with a Bluetooth Alarm Button via the app

With a Bluetooth Alarm Button you can seamlessly raise the alarm via the X-Guard Alarm app. You don't have to take your phone out of your pocket or unlock it to activate an alarm. An alarm is immediately sent with just one press of the alarm button (hold it down for 3 seconds). This alarm button can be linked in the app to both the panic- of assistancebutton.

The Bluetooth Alarm Button is available in different variants, including a set with a belt clip, neck strap and key ring, all in one. You also have the option to expand the set with a handy wristband.

Instruction cards

The description of the instruction cards is clear. No further suggestions are needed here. It is understood that the cards are in the shape and size of business cards and contain simple instructions on how to use the X-Guard Alarm app. The mention of the option to request the tickets for free via the button is also useful.

Technical information

  • Multiple Bluetooth Alarm buttons can be linked to the app.
  • The Bluetooth Alarm Button contains a CR2032 button cell battery.
  • The lifespan of this battery is approximately three years. You will receive a notification in the app when the battery is low. Make sure the battery is replaced in time to ensure your safety.
  • To replace the battery, remove the back of your alarm button and remove the white alarm button from the black housing. On the back of the white alarm button there is a round plate that you can turn half a turn to the left to open the button. Opening the button can be somewhat difficult, so we advise you to temporarily remove the protective film on the back so that you can temporarily attach the button somewhere for more grip. After replacing the battery, replace the back by turning it half a turn to the right.
  • After replacing the battery, you can place the button back in the black housing. NB! Above the X-Guard logo there is a small LED light (red, orange or green). Make sure that the LED light fits into the recess of the housing so that you can see it clearly.
  • When logging in to the Alarm app again, the Bluetooth Alarm button must be reconnected to the app. This can be done via the menu in the X-Guard Alarm app: 'Change settings' > 'Bluetooth alarm buttons'.
  • The maximum distance between the telephone and the Bluetooth Alarm button within which an alarm is possible depends on the intervening walls and floors. We recommend always using the telephone and the alarm button in the same room. Outdoors, in an open field, the maximum distance between your phone and the alarm button is approximately 25 meters.
  • X-Guard can personalize and organize the function of the screen and Bluetooth Alarm buttons. Please contact us for this.
  • When a phone (Samsung X-Cover only) has an extra button on the side or top for adjustable functions, it can also be set as an alarm button. In this case, a Bluetooth alarm button is unnecessary.
