Replace the battery

The battery in the alarm button has a lifespan of approximately three* years. Make sure that the battery is replaced in time to ensure your safety. You will receive a notification in the Alarm app when the battery is almost empty.

*However, the lifespan does depend on the use of the Alarm Button. With heavy use, the battery will also run out sooner.

You can replace the battery in the alarm button yourself. The Bluetooth Alarm Button contains a button cell battery CR2032.

Change the battery by removing the back of your alarm button and removing the white alarm button from the black housing. On the back of the white alarm button there is a round plate that you can turn half a turn to the left to open the button. Opening the button can be quite difficult, so we advise you to remove the protective film from the back so that you can temporarily stick the button on something for more grip. After replacing the battery, you can reattach the back by turning it half a turn to the right.

After changing the battery, you can place the button back in the black housing. CAUTION! There is an LED (red, orange or green) above the X-Guard logo. Make sure that this LED is placed in the recess of the housing so that you can see it clearly.
