Register step by step
The registration process differs per account (private, business or public).
Registration for a private or business account (with a QR code)
Follow the steps below for your registration in the X-Guard Alarm app:
- Step 1: Open the X-Guard Alarm app on your phone.
- Step 2: Enter your full name under ''What is your first and last name?'' and then click: ''Let's get started!''
- Step 3: Scan the QR Code by displaying it on the phone you use to register. The QR Code is included in the email you have already received.
- Step 4: Enter your email address and telephone number. It is important that you enter the telephone number of the phone on which you are registering the app. After completing the form, click ''Continue''.
- Step 5: You will then receive an SMS token with the X-Guard verification code. You must enter this 6-digit code under ''You will receive an SMS''. When the code has been entered correctly, you do not have to click on anything but you will automatically proceed to the next step.
- Step 6: Choose your username. This may be your first and last name or your email address. After choosing a username, click ''Continue''.
- Step 7: Additional information. First of all, add your photo here. Adding a photo is very important. This way, the police, mobile security guard or people nearby know what you look like when you send an alarm. Then enter your home address ''Add home address'' and work address ''Add work address''. When you have done this, click on ''Finish''.
- Step 8: Read and agree to (1) the Terms and the (2) Privacy Terms. You must agree to both to continue with your registration.
- Step 9: Updates. Indicate here whether and which emails you wish to receive. You will always receive emails relating to ensuring your safety. Click ''Continue'' – you have completed your registration and your data will be synchronized.
- Step 10: Once your data is synced, you can take a tour of the app with a virtual app walkthrough. Click ''Continue'' if you want to end with a tour of the app.
It is important that you use the QR code associated with your company/organization account for registration.
Registration for a Public account (no QR code)
- Step 1: Open the X-Guard Alarm app on your phone.
- Step 2: Enter your full name under ''What is your first and last name?'' and then click: ''Let's get started!''
- Step 3: You don't have to scan a QR code! Click on the blue button: “Sign up for a public account” and then on “CONTINUE TO PUBLIC ACCOUNT”.
- Step 4: Enter your email address and telephone number. It is important that you enter the telephone number of the phone on which you are registering the app. After completing the form, click ''Continue''.
- Step 5: You will then receive an SMS token with the X-Guard verification code. You must enter this 6-digit code under ''You will receive an SMS''. When the code has been entered correctly, you do not have to click on anything but you will automatically proceed to the next step.
- Step 6: Choose your username. This may be your first and last name or your email address. After choosing a username, click ''Continue''.
