Explanation session for end users

You or your company/organization has opted for the X-Guard security solution. An online explanation session (via Teams) will soon take place in which X-Guard will explain the use of the chosen solution. On this page we would like to explain to you what you can expect from the meeting so that you can follow the explanation well prepared and ask questions where necessary. If you have any questions, you can always contact us (tel: 0881261212 or via chat on the website).

Invitation via Datumprikker.nl
Register for the explanation session

You should have received an invitation to register via Datumprikker.nl. In (almost) all cases we invite participants via the Datumprikker. We received the list of participants from your company/organization before the explanation session. In the invitation you will find the date or dates on which the explanation session(s) will take place. If there are multiple dates, you can choose from one of the proposed dates. If there is one date, please only click on this date: this confirms that you will be present - this is convenient for our administration. The Date Picker also contains the link to the Teams meeting that you can open on (the chosen) date. We recommend that you put the appointment for the explanation session in your online agenda. This can also be done via the date picker after you have submitted your participation. The Teams invitation will then appear in your calendar with the link.

What are we going to do during the explanation session?

The explanation session is intended to give you a good idea of the safety solution that you or your company/organization has chosen so that you can: Safe everywhere will be!

The presentation consists of three (3) parts

(1) The website (general information): the X-Guard website is used for general information and visualization. To our Explanation pages contains a lot of information about the use of X-Guard. After the meeting you can read everything on our website.
(2) The X-Guard Alarm app (how does the app work?):  We will show the app and its functions by displaying the X-Guard Alarm app via screen sharing. It is wise to install the X-Guard Alarm app in advance and register yourself.
(3) The Alarm Managementr (how does alarm work?): We show how sending an alarm call works via our Alarm Manager (the platform our operators work with).

Course of the Teams session

X-Guard will introduce himself first. We explain our mission Everyone, Everywhere, Safe and then discuss the solution you or your company has chosen:

(1) The website (general information)

  • How it works: what happens when you send an alarm? Here we will explain the ''follow-up'': who receives your emergency call and what is initiated?
  • Your sector: We will discuss your sector in more detail and why personal alarms are important.
  • Everyone: Alarm options / alarm buttons: we then show our alarm options and discuss the alarm option chosen by you or your company/organization.
  • Everywhere: Location determination: Subsequently, the methods that X-Guard uses for precise location determination are explained. Depending on your situation or the situation of your company/organization, we have developed different methods to determine the accuracy of your location.
  • Safe: Follow-up after an alarm: Afterwards, the different methods of assistance that are deployed after sending an emergency call will be explained. We will then discuss the follow-up that you or your company has chosen.

(2) The X-Guard Alarm App (How does the Alarm App work?)

We will present the Alarm app to you and explain and demonstrate its operation. You can already view the explanation page about the Alarm app via the buttons at the bottom of this page. We also recommend that you install the Alarm app on your phone in advance and register yourself with the QR code.

  • You can open the Alarm app on your phone so that you can navigate and try during the explanation.
  • The home screen: We are going to explain the functions of the buttons, the card and the icons on the home screen to you.
  • Permissions: For the app to function properly, it is important that you give permission for a number of things. We will therefore check together whether you have all the 'permissions' correct. You can check this using the orange icon with the exclamation mark on the left (Android) or right (iPhone) on the home screen.
  • The menu: next we'll show you how to navigate the Alarm app menu. You can read more about the Alarm app menu via the button below. We will provide more explanation about the functions in the app that are interesting for you or that your organization/company has explicitly opted for.
  • Save phone numbers: It is important to add the telephone number of the Emergency Center and/or X-Guard Alarm to your contacts and save it as a favorite. This way you can always see that you are being called by the emergency center and/or by X-Guard Alarm when you have set the Receive emergency calls button to "On". In addition, it is wise to allow calls from these numbers when your phone is on "do not disturb". We're going to show you how to do this. You can read the instructions for saving these telephone numbers via the button below.
  • Link alarm button: We will then show you how you can link your alarm button (if applicable) to the Alarm app.

(3) The Alarm Manager (How does alarming work?)

Send an alarm. Finally, we would like to send an alarm together with you to show you how this works. This requires a volunteer who gives permission to share privacy-sensitive data (location at that time). If there is no volunteer, X-Guard will send an alarm itself. In our Alarm Manager we show how an alarm is received by us and how it is handled further.

Closing

There will be room for questions at the end of the presentation.
You can find all information on our website and in particular on our explanation pages where there is extensive information about X-Guard in general and the use of the X-Guard Alarm app. Navigate to our explanation pages via the link below

Planning online explanation sessions

X-Guard ensures that your online explanation session(s) are planned. However, we do need some information for smooth preparation.

The explanation session (online or on location) is given to a group of up to 15 new app users. We will schedule this explanation session in consultation with you. To schedule the explanation session(s), we need some information from the participants so that we can invite them via a date planner (registration). If you provide us with the following information, we can easily plan the (online) explanation session for you:

  • On which date(s) should the explanation session(s) take place or can we choose the dates for you?
  • At what time(s) should the explanation session(s) take place or can we choose this for you?
  • The number of participants and their email addresses
  • May we invite participants via a date picker (registration)
  • Online or on location? Online: is this allowed via Teams? On location: what is your address?
  • What do you think is important that we cover (in terms of content)
  • Language (if other than Dutch)

Normally we invite participants via a date picker. They can register in the date picker (for a specific date). The email also contains the Teams link (for an online explanation session), the instructions for registering and installing and the required QR code. During the explanation session we will delve deeper into the solution that the organization or company has chosen. We do this using our website, navigation through the Alarm app via screen sharing and at the end we demonstrate how an alarm is received via the Alarm Manager. Contact us for the possibilities (info@x-guard.nl or call 088 126 12 12).

The video meeting will take place via . If you want a different platform (Teams), please let us know quickly and in advance. If more than one person would like to participate in the meeting, please let us know (names + email addresses of the participants). The video meeting can be recorded, if desired and with permission.
