Agenda link

The calendar link in the X-Guard Alarm app makes it possible to determine a GPS location more accurately by using appointments with associated addresses from your linked calendar.

This is how you link your agenda:

  1. Open app, go to menu and click Change setting > Calendar link 
  2. Activate the calendar link and give permission for the app to access your calendar.
  3. Click on 'Manage calendars' and select the desired calendar(s).
  4. Phone calendars and Microsoft calendars are supported.

When adding a Microsoft account you will need your login name and password. If you do not know this information, you can contact the system administrator of your organization.

Nedap ONS and Myneva

A link will soon be developed with the software of the client tracking systems Nedap ONS and Myneva. This link will enable automatic updating of addresses, leading to even faster recognition of alarm locations. This will further improve the functionality of the app and make its use even more efficient.

Technical specifications and privacy

When creating an alarm, the reporter's calendar is automatically viewed by the system, but the title, description of an agenda item or the participants of an agenda item are not taken into account. Only the relevant information for determining the position is read. The system checks whether a calendar item is currently in progress and compares the address of that item with the GPS position of the reporter. If these positions are close to each other, the address entered in the agenda item will be used in the alarm call from the reporter. A default margin of 30 minutes is used, but it can be adjusted. All-day items are always checked.
