X-Guard POC explanation

The following agreements must be made to ensure that the POC runs as smoothly as possible.

How does the POC work?

Great that we are going to hold a Proof Of Concept (POC) with you. To ensure that this POC is run successfully, we have drawn up a procedure for this.

We must agree on the following matters in advance:

  • Who is the contact person/ultimately responsible for this PoC?

    • In many cases we have one central point of contact who sets out the broad outlines.
    • Weekly evaluations often take place with direct managers on the work floor.
  • How long does the P0C last?

    • A PoC often lasts a maximum of 3 months, but in many cases the switch to a production or final environment takes place after 1 to 2 months.
  • Where exactly is the POC held?

    • Deployment for people who work on an outpatient basis, so often by appointment or on an ad-hoc basis, or at fixed locations where work is done during the day or at night.
  • Locations clearly mapped including names of buildings, possibly drawings, floor plans, and zones for correct addressing.

    • This concerns the permanent location.
    • We use the navigate function for users who visit customers, i.e. work on an outpatient basis.
      • Before starting a conversation, the user indicates in the navigation where he or she is walking, cycling or driving.
      • This location is stored in our system as an indoor location.
      • After leaving the location, the user will be asked via the app whether he/she has visited it.
      • This way, we ALWAYS know where the user is during an alarm.
  • Devices must be properly configured in advance.

    • Will our alarm center be used during the PoC or will the alarms be handled internally by colleagues or our own security?
    • Should the apps automatically turn “OFF” when charging and then “ON” again or “RISK” when disconnected from the charger.
      • This can be set per device or group of devices.
    • Are users also allowed to make adjustments to the app settings or follow-up?
  • The follow-up protocol must be configured properly.

    • Are colleagues allowed to help each other?
      • Colleagues can be designated as Quick Response so that they are controlled from the alarm center during an alarm. These colleagues must be within 2 km. of the alarm are present.
      • Also consider the people in the emergency response team who are responsible for each location.
    • Deployment of our National Quick Response team of invigilators?
    • Police deployment.
      • We can exclude police reporting in certain areas or buildings
  • Explanation has been given physically/online to all participants of the PoC before it starts.

    • In most cases, X-Guard requested the complete rollout on location, including explanation to users and live demo with alarm center or X-Guard follow-up app.
  • The purpose of the POC is clear to all participants.

    • The aim of the PoC is to increase the safety and security feeling of employees and to demonstrate that the organization has chosen the right solution with the X-Guard concept.

Remaining appointments:

  • You will receive one permanent point of contact on behalf of X-Guard.
  • The organization appoints a person ultimately responsible for the PoC.
  • The report is sent at a fixed time every week to the person responsible for the PoC in the organization
  • Weekly telephone contact between X-Guard and the organization
    • Both parties have studied the report for this purpose.
  • Changes can be made during the PoC.
    • More or fewer users.
    • Adjustments in the settings.
