What happens when I raise a personal alarm?

It’s always good to know the exact process you set in motion when you send an emergency signal. The most important thing is that you can rest assured someone will come to your aid when you need it. Knowing you can keep going about your activities with complete peace of mind undoubtedly gives you a greater sense of security. The same applies if you work in a public role, if you receive a lot of public criticism as a result of your job or if you feel unsafe or threatened in any other way. Politicians, mayors, managers of large businesses and lawyers often receive unwanted attention after appearing in the media.

If you find yourself in an unsafe situation, simply raise the alarm. An alert will be sent to people nearby straightaway. These are people you have designated yourself, such as colleagues, emergency response officers, friends/family or private security staff. If these people are unable to respond (in time) or if the situation is so serious that intervention by the emergency services is required, the alarm will be forwarded to the X-Guard alarm centre. This centre is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A connection with an operator will be established automatically, and that operator will subsequently assess the situation and send the right people to help if necessary. The operator can alert a mobile security guard, or in the worst-case scenario, the police. Whatever happens, when you send an alarm via X-Guard, help is guaranteed.
