In care and emergency services
safety with a single press of a button
Unfortunately enough, we’re hearing that the emergency services are increasingly having to deal with aggression and violence while doing their jobs. First responders are not only encountering physical violence, but are also often threatened, intimidated and verbally abused. Ambulance staff, the police and the fire service are prevented from doing their job, even though they are trying to help other people.
In the care sector, nursing staff and care providers also face increased risk, especially when attending to clients or patients in a state of diminished responsibility. On top of that, aggression is occurring more and more frequently while working outside of hospital or care settings. The guarantee that someone will come to your aid with just a single press of a button offers a much greater sense of security and creates safer working environments.
Keeping employees safe in industry
Safety with a single press of a button or through fall detection/man down function
Even if you are less likely to directly encounter any aggression or physical or verbal abuse, you may still face certain risks in the workplace. Examples include the industrial sector, the construction sector, the manufacturing sector or businesses working with hazardous materials or in extreme temperatures. For these situations, X-Guard offers a Man Down system (the RISK button): your mobile phone serves as a motion sensor, and when it detects insufficient movement over a certain period of time (when you have fallen unconscious, for example), it will automatically send an alarm to the X-Guard alarm centre. That way, someone will come to your aid, even when you are unable to raise the alarm yourself. On top of that, there’s no need to worry that an alarm will be sent unintentionally if you go to the toilet or have a break, for example; the X-Guard employee protection system uses a pre-alarm function before an alarm is raised, and you’re free to configure the length of time between the two. The app can also be configured in such a way that the RISK button is automatically switched on (personal protection “On”) or off (personal protection “Off”) when you visit a certain location.
